Silly me, I didn't realize the book one thing in the sub-title meant part one, not book one.Soooo I read it as a stand alone. It was a cute book, but when I realized it was setting up a part 2-3-4, whatever, I just decided to accept the end of the book was the end. I did have a problem with them both being so stupid they didn't catch on to the Facebook and IRL persons being the same (mentioned in excerpt, not spoiler). IRL h/H weren't nearly as likeable as the Facebook people. It did keep my attention, mostly due to the shallow and narrow-minded heroine.
I choose not to read books in parts and portions doled out and sold separately, this was a surprise and possibly my errpr. Therefore it gets 2 stars instead of one.

A great Kay Brody book. Clean and Wholesome with a great plot.
So this plot revolves around two individuals who are fighting for what they believe in, which pits them against each other. An okay read.
I enjoyed this book very much. I love the storyline about two people meeting online and never to meet. Things happen and you need to read this book to find out the rest. I can't wait to read the second book in this series.
I love romance books, especially shorter ones. I bought this book last week and read through it rarely quickly. It was a very well written romance that had me blushing and wanting more all at the same time. I highly recommend Deserving Love to any romance fan.
Thank you for this sweet love story about Alexis and Evan. I loved the storyline and how they worked out their differences. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Lexi owns a candy store in a historic area, and rallies the public against a new shopping center that Evan wants to build there; meanwhile, her sanity comes from online chats with "Nick."
Best bits These are two very opinionated people who aren't afraid to be loud and forceful about what they think is right, and since they meet on opposite sides of an issue, they start as de facto enemies. At the same time, they enjoy the anonymity of an online interaction where they share nothing about their real lives, just a shared love for a TV show and a regular teasing flirtation. Once they can leave behind their battle personas in person, the joking, flirting aspect of themselves is no longer limited to the online chats, and they do well together.
Issues Not many typos, but some errors. The name of the TV show they like changes from "Time After Time" to "Reckless" halfway through the book. And the long chats they have online get a little confusing to read, as there is no indication of who says what, and sometimes I lost the thread of whose turn it was and had to count back to figure out which one was speaking. The ending is a semi-cliffhanger that introduces a last-minute new conflict, trying to get you to read the next book. Better than leaving this book's conflict unresolved, but I'm not a fan of this strategy, either. This somehow was listed as Christian book online, but it isn't. There's no mention of faith at all, and while there's no actual sex in the book, they do flirt with mild sexual references, and while neither is into casual sex, it's clear they both have had sex with significant others before, and they clearly plan to "move to that level" with each other.
