My Review:I picked up this book because of a review of it that Julie (Yummy Men & Kick-Ass Chicks) posted. It was a great recommendation. This is a short little read. Perfect for one of those nights where you only have an hour or so to read (which was the case for me, Thursday night.) It has a fabulous premise...Aros (aka: Cupid) has been too busy goofing off and the state of love in the world has suffered. As a result, Zeus has kicked him out of Olympus and banished him to earth to prove that love can be saved, even in the most unlikely of couples.
That's where Kira & Jesse come in. Kira has just been dumped on the fairway of the pier when she runs into Jesse. She is a high school principal, but she isn't up on her music so she doesn't realize that Jesse is part of one of the hottest rock groups around. She just knows that he's plain HOT. Their chemistry is pretty immediate (it's a short novel, so things move pretty fast) and they have a fabulous night together, although Jesse leaves without letting Kira know the truth about him. I am not going to tell you the whole story, because it is definitely worth reading for yourself.
I did really just enjoy this one. Kira's pretty straight-laced and can't imagine that Jesse can really be interested in her when he has all the fangirls constantly throwing themselves at him. BUT he is interested. They both have been deeply affected by their one evening together. It's a really romantic read. It's short, but amazingly enough, there is enough depth here to be satisfying. The characters are likable and well-thought-out. I loved Jesse and his persistence. Just a really nice little romantic read! Gotta love a sexy rock-star!!

I've completely fallen in love with this series. A brilliant blend of mythology and romance. I can't wait to read more stories by Seleste DeLaney and I'm waiting patiently for more in the series.
I really liked the way the book came together. Finally got the correlation with the angel in the end. Great work Ms DeLaney!

This novella is a fun read with engaging characters and some smexy, smexy scenes (hot. very hot). Of course, I did want to smack Kira a time or two, but that just makes it better in the end! ;o) I love the overarching concept of the story--Cupid/Eros having to make people actually fall in love in order to get back into Zeus's good graces--and can't wait to read more in the series.
I definitely recommend GunShy!
It's short, but there is enough depth here to be satisfying. The characters are likable and well-thought-out. There are some very hot scenes but that just makes it that much better. I loved Jesse and his persistence and I did want to smack Kira a time or two.
